This Privacy Policy describes how Flexin ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Flexin fitness tracking app and our website at flexinfitapp.com (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Payment information: processed securely by Apple (for in-app purchases) or Stripe (for web subscriptions). We do not store your full credit card numbers.
• User content: progress photos you upload, workout logs, exercise selections, body composition entries (height, weight, age, sex), and notes you create within the app.
• Communications: emails or support requests you send to us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: workouts logged, streaks, time spent in the app, features used, squad activity, energy reactions sent and received.
• Device information: device type, operating system, app version, and language settings.
• Diagnostic data: anonymous crash reports and performance data to help us fix bugs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Personalize workout suggestions, muscle activation tracking, and AI-generated coaching based on your activity
• Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account notifications)
• Send optional product updates if you opt in
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Service — including hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), payment processing (Apple, Stripe), and email delivery. These providers may only use your data to perform services for us.
• Legal authorities if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Flexin, our users, or the public.
• In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, in which case your data will remain subject to this policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information, workout logs, and progress photos for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual progress photos from the Progress screen at any time; deleted items are removed from active display immediately and from our backups within 30 days. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data, photos, and workout logs within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

Progress photos are stored privately in your account. They are not used to train AI models for third parties, not sold, and not shared for advertising. They are displayed only inside the app for your personal progress tracking.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your workout history, progress photos, and account data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time

6. Children's Privacy

Flexin is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children under these ages. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS / TLS) to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

8. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
